Bursting Tester

Bursting Tester

A bursting tester is a laboratory instrument used to determine the resistance of a material to rupture when subjected to increasing internal pressure. It's commonly used in industries such as packaging, paper, textiles, and plastics to assess the quality and durability of materials.

Description

How it works:

  1. Sample preparation: A circular sample of the material is cut and placed between two clamps in the tester.
  2. Pressure application: Hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is applied to the sample through a rubber diaphragm or piston.
  3. Measurement: The tester measures the pressure required to cause the sample to burst.
  4. Data analysis: The bursting strength is determined based on the applied pressure and the size of the sample
