How it Works

1. Sample Preparation: A leather or other material sample is clamped securely in place.
2. Rubbing Pad: A rubbing pad, often made of wool felt, is pressed against the sample.  
3. Rubbing Action: The rubbing pad is moved back and forth across the sample, applying a controlled amount of pressure.
4. Color Assessment: The colorfastness of the material is evaluated by comparing the rubbed area to an unrubbed area.
